Tapestry Road

Tapestry Road is a Minneapolis-based duo known for their entertaining originals and fresh acoustic takes on the songs everyone knows and loves.

With a special love for the unforgettable hits of the '60s and '70s, their shows are filled with Laurel Canyon favorites, reimagined covers, and sweet harmonies that take you back to a moment, a memory, or a feeling.

What makes Tapestry Road unique is their passion for bringing people together with their songs and stories. Combining the songwriting talents and musical skills of Brenna Larson (fingerpicking guitar, vocals) and Scott Strauss (bass guitar, vocals), the pair mixes timeless tunes with their own intimate and witty songs of love, loss, and true confessions. 

BRENNA LARSON is a vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist who combines warmth and wit to engage audiences in her life journey as a mother, career woman, shop-a-holic, and folk diva. Brenna's solo album, LIKE FINE WINE, is a collection of folk originals that includes fan favorites about love, aging and retail therapy with songs like"Buy More Shoes," "Gray Hair Blues," and "He Loved Whiskey.

SCOTT STRAUSS is a vocalist, bassist and guitarist, as well as a songwriter with his roots in Motown from his native city of Detroit. His music career spans decades as bassist in numerous rock, funk and soul bands. He toured with numerous artists including Carl Carlton, the R&B artist best known for his hits “Everlasting Love” and “She’s a Bad Mama Jama.” Scott also performs in several tribute bands, including Candy-Oh (music of The Cars) and Vertigo (music of U2), in addition to his collaboration with Brenna.

The duo performs  across a wide variety of venues, festivals, private events, songwriter showcases, house concerts and cafe gigs.  Every performance is a special journey that will take you back in time and make you laugh along the way.
